Penguin winter motive: Airbrush Motive 018 - Step 2 |
You need the airbrush pistol with 0.4 mm nozzle and the water soluble airbrush colours in white and blue |
Adjust the pressure of the air compressor on 1.5 bar.
Note: Use a respirator and pay attention that your workplace is enough ventilated.
Take a piece of a kitchen towel role and break it away with the hand, so that there emerges a frayed line, as right in the picture shown.
Use the airbrush pistol with the 0.4 mm nozzle. Fill into the paint cup two drops of the water soluble airbrush colour in white and one drop of the airbrush colour in blue. Now mix with a toothpick the airbrush colours.
Hold the piece of kitchen towel with the frayed line approximately at the half of the fingernail, so that the upper half of the fingernail is covered, as right in the picture shown.
The distance of the nozzle to the fingernail should be 4 or 5 cm, as right in the picture shown.
Pull the operating lever completely back when spraying to regulate the colour. Press at the same moment the operating lever completely down to regulate the air flow (double action principle), as right shown.
Start with the movement when spraying somewhat beside the fingernail. Move the airbrush pistol steady-going from the left to the right side and from the right to the left side.
Spray the water soluble airbrush colour in several layers on the fingernail until the fingernail surface is completely masked, as right in the pictures shown.
The result should correspond approximately to the picture on the right side.
Note: Before you continue with step 3, wait until the sprayed airbrush colour on the fingernail is dried. |
